Skilax/sulfolax drops 15ml

The active ingredient in skilax is sulfolax which is a stool softening laxative taken orally.

What is skilax drop used for

Skilax(sulfolax) treats constipation by helping patients have a bowel movement, it is indicated in:

Acute and chronic constipation

Relief of evacuation in painful conditions such as hemorrhoids

Pre and post operatively

Preparation for barium enema

Preparation of colon for proctosigmoidoscopy

Daily dosage:

Adults:

10-15 drops once daily

Children:

2-5 years:2-3drops once daily

6-10 years: 2-5 drops once daily

Drinks 6 to 8 glasses of water daily while using any laxative.

Precautions:

Do not use this laxative for longer than 1 week unless approved by your doctor.

Prolonged use of skilax(sulfolax) should be avoided, prolonged use may lead to diarrhea, excessive loss and imbalance of electrolytes with possible hypokalemia.
