Emitino 2 MG Syrup is an antiemetic medicine that contains ondansetron as an active ingredient. It is used in children to treat and prevent nausea and vomiting caused by stomach discomfort, surgery, cancer medicines (chemotherapy) or radiation therapy. It works by blocking a natural substance called serotonin in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting.
Indications
- Emitino is indicated for the management of nausea and vomiting induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
- Emitino is also indicated for the prevention and treatment of post-operative nausea and vomiting. Routine prophylaxis is not recommended for patients in whom there is little expectation that nausea and vomiting will occur.
- For the short-term treatment of nausea/vomiting associated with acute gastroenteritis.
